Dark Angels! ♥

Hello Lovelies!

A while ago I got invited to take part in Schwarzkopf Professional's Essential Looks Salon Style Competition. I'm not great at styling hair, but decided to give it a go. I like a challenge ;) The competition is open to all UK hair professionals and bloggers aged 18 or over, so why not enter?! All entries will be judged by peers, consumers and a panel of judges. The four looks with the most votes will win the relevant trend category Schwarzkopf Professional products worth £200 and one winner chosen by a panel of judges will win a trip to Barcelona!

'Applicants are invited to channel one of four trends within the Essential Looks Flux Collection and can choose from:

They are ultra feminine and powerfully seductive, they love luxurious, perfectly glossy hair with peek-a-boo fringes and rich ultra natural colour.

Hip Opulants – This pleasure-seeking crowd love glamour with high-octane show stopping looks that mix wild prints with eye-popping colour and a dash of sparkle. Edgy, sharp, clean, cuts stop screen siren blonde and decadent golden reds stop this mood looking too obvious.'

GHD Style Heat Protection Spray! ♥

Hello My Lovelies!

Hope you all had a great weekend and are feeling fab! I'm loving the sunshine :) Today I have a review of GHD Style Heat Protect Spray for you all. As you may remember me saying before, my hair is basically knackered. I have started to try to repair the damage by going for regular trims and recently starting to use Moroccan Oil. I have been looking for a decent heat protection for a while now, so I was excited to try this GHD one.    

The Low Down: 

'With the GHD Heat Protection Spray, you can maximise your style with heat, whenever you want to use your styler or hairdryer. For all hair types, this lightweight spray helps leave hair looking and feeling smoother.'

The Packaging:

The product comes in a slim and sophisticated black bottle. The gold and white writing is simple, yet stylish and is easy to read. The spray nozzle is perfect for spritzing just the right amount of heat protection onto the hair.The packaging oozes class and stands out from my other hair products.

How to use it:
Apply to towel dried hair before blowdrying or spray lightly on to dry hair before heat styling.

The product:
GHD Style Heat Protection Spray smells so lovely and reminds me of being at the hairdressers :) After using this product for nearly a week I really do think I can see a difference. Normally after straightening my hair I swear I could see more damage, but not after using this little beauty! My hair is now super smooth when styled and it makes me feel great when people ask if I've had my hair done :)

Conclusion:

I love this product and would definately recommend it to anyone who wants fabulous hair. This heat protection is so versatile and can be layered with other styling products to achieve the look that you want. GHD Style Heat Protect Spray is the best I have tried without a doubt!  I would give it an amazing 9/10!

Moroccan Oil Review ♥

Morning Lovelies!

Hope you're all well :) Today I have a review of Moroccan Oil for you. Being honest, over the the last few years I have hammered my hair. It has been dyed every colour you can think of, straightened to death and basically just neglected. A few of months ago I started going to a new hairdresser and she introduced me to Moroccan Oil. She uses it on my hair when I go for my regular cut + blow and I finally decided it was time to invest in a bottle to use at home.

The Low Down:

'A unique ultra-light formula rich in antioxidant argan oil that instantly absorbs into hair to immediately enhance manageability, shine and deliver long term conditioning without leaving residue.'

The Ingredients:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Argania Spinoza Kernel Oil (Aragan Oil), Linseed Extract (Linum Usitatissimum), Fragrance (Supplement), D&C Yellow 11, D&C Red 17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone

The Packaging:

The glass bottle that Moroccan Oil comes in is fairly simple, yet elegant. I love the look of it and feel proud to see it sitting on my bathroom shelf. The product comes with a pump, which makes decanting just the right amount of oil incredibly easy. It also comes with a lid, which is ideal for travelling.

How to use it:

I simply wash my hair as normal and then apply a two of pumps of Moroccan Oil to towel-dryed hair. Once I have blowdried I apply one more pump.

The Product:

Moroccan Oil smells absolutely beautiful and is the perfect consistency for this kind of product. After using this oil, my hair always looks and feels fabulous - so shiny and healthy! I half-expected it to make my hair greasy, but it didn't and instead left me with gorgeous soft and smooth locks, without a hint of frizz in sight! Moroccan Oil has drastically improved the condition of my hair (I believe it is helping it to grow too!) and I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the best hair product I have ever used.

Conclusion:

Okay so if you hadn't already guessed, I recommend Moroccan Oil 110% and if you haven't already tried it you must!! You can purchase it from the official website by clicking here or at your local salon. At £30 a pop it's not cheap, but it is sooo worth it and will last ages. I love Moroccan Oil - It truly is a wonder product and gets a well-deserved 10/10 from me :)

Dove review!!!

Evening Lovelies!

Hope you are all well :) Tonight I'm going to tell you all about the latest hair product I have tried, which is Dove hair therapy - Conditioner and Treatment.

What it says on the tube

- Nourishing oil care

- Express treatment conditioner, with weightless nutri-oils

- Advanced care and repair for beautiful hair

- Next generation of conditioner, with a golden ribbon of treatment inside

- Instant deep nourishment, smoothes even extra dry and frizzy hair

- 3x the nourishing power of a conditioner

What I did

I followed the instructions on the back of the tube and used this product after shampooing, instead of my regular conditioner. I left it on my hair for one minutes and then rinsed it off.

What I thought

The packaging is a nice and simple, white and gold tube with clear writing and instructions. It is easy to use and I was really impressed with the colour of the conditioner - it comes out in peach and white stripes!! The product smells lovely, as do all of the Dove products I have tried before and it also has a beautiful, creamy consistency.

Now don't get me wrong this is a nice conditioner and is pleasant enough to use, but I wouldn't class it as a 'treatment' and I wouldn't say it was any more nourishing than Dove's other conditioners. I have fairly dry hair and this product left it feeling soft and smooth, but no more so than the rest of thier range.

All in all I do like this product - my favourite thing  about it being the stripey formula :) I am a Dove fan, but I still prefer my Schwarzkopf Gliss Conditioner.

I would rate this product a respectable 7/10

Hello my lovelies I've been entering lots of giveaways on other peoples blogs today, I hope I win! hehe. I think I might run a giveaway on here once I get 100 followers, I want to wait a while so that I know people enjoy what I'm reading and don't just follow for freebies! lol.

I started using more gentle hair dyes when I was pregnant and found they are alot kinder to hair, so I'm going to continue to use them. Today I dyed my hair using clairol nice and easy - medium brown - ammonia free - non permanent dye. Check out what I thought of it below :)

My review - In comparison to other home dying kits this one was a lot less messy, I managed to get through the whole process without getting the colour everywhere like I usually do. It smelled nice and seemed to develop in the time it said on the box (15 minutes). It was easy to wash out & I am pleased with the result. Now we shall just have to wait and see how long it lasts. It says upto 24 washes on the box, but the upto 8 washes dye I used previously only lasted half of that. I'll keep you updated.

As you may know I recieved bottles of loreal elvive triple resist shampoo and conditioner yesterday from a competition win.

My review - After using the shampoo my hair felt quite soft. When I rinse off most other shampoos my hair feels extremely dry, so thumbs up for that. I was slightly disappointed that the shampoo didn't smell of much, but when i opened the conditioner that smelled lovely. The bottles claim that these products make hair stronger, amongst other things, but I suppose you wouldnt really notice after only using it once. I would use these again, but I still prefer my usual schwarzkopf gliss shampoo and conditioner to be honest.

After I'd done my hair, my fiance popped round for a cuppa (we don't live together yet - lack of funds! lol) and brought me a big tub of celebrations as a treat :) Since I'm a greedy guts I went to open them straight away & saw that the seal was broken. I asked him why and he informed me that he had wanted a chocolate so he had opened them :/ The cheeky so and so! I was calling him every name under the sun in my head and thinking what kind of person does that, until rummaging around picking out the chocolates and shovelling them into my mouth I spotted something. Tickets for breaking dawn! I'm a huge twilight fan and as a suprise my lovely fella had hidden them in my chocolates, how sweet? (get it :p hehe) I felt really guilty for being so ungrateful, but nothing a big sloppy kiss couldn't fix! <3
