GOSH - Smokey Eyes Palettes! (;

Salut Lovelies!

Hope you are all good :) I know I haven't blogged much lately at all, but I am going to let you all know why in a very personal post soon. Today I have a review of the GOSH Smokey Eye Palettes in 01 Black and 02 Brown.

The Low Down:

'These palettes of bold and beautiful eye makeup come complete with four flattering shadow shades that blend to suit any eye shape and skin tone. Formulated with a high intensity colour pigmentation that will stay vibrant all day long, each palette comes with a numbered guide to show you exactly where to apply each colour. Slim and neat enough for popping into any handbag.'

The ingredients:

Mica, Talc, CI77499/Iron Oxides, Dimethicone, CI77891/Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Stearate, CI77491/Iron Oxides, CI77492/Iron Oxides, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

CI77000/Aluminium Powder - Present in 01 Black only.

The Packaging:

These wonderful shadows come in cute little black palettes (8g 0.3oz) I love how they look - simple, yet funky and will add extra oomph to your makeup bag! The hard plastic palettes are easy to open, which is fab for me because I have long nails that I dont wish to break. The packaging is clear and legible - perfect :)

The product:

Both of these palettes are fabulously pigmented and easy buildable - fantastic for day or night. Palette 01 is especially amazing for a natural everyday look and palette 02 is ideal for creating a smokey eye look that is a celebrity must wear at the moment. The shadows are super easy to apply and will have you looking A-list ready in next to no time!

Conclusion:

I actually really like these products from GOSH and they are fast becoming a staple in my cosmetics bag (especially palette 02!) It's crazy to think I hadn't tried any GOSH products until this year, where have I been?! The shadows are long lasting, versatile and reasonably priced - what's not to love?! I would give these a very well deserved 9/10!

If you would like to try a GOSH Palette for yourself, simply head on down to Superdrug and a bag yourself one of these beauties for only £7.99.

Also comes in 03 Plum (which I'm pretty sure I will be purchasing!)

Hope you all had a great weekend and are feeling fab! I'm loving the sunshine :) Today I have a review of GHD Style Heat Protect Spray for you all. As you may remember me saying before, my hair is basically knackered. I have started to try to repair the damage by going for regular trims and recently starting to use Moroccan Oil. I have been looking for a decent heat protection for a while now, so I was excited to try this GHD one.

The Packaging:
The product comes in a slim and sophisticated black bottle. The gold and white writing is simple, yet stylish and is easy to read. The spray nozzle is perfect for spritzing just the right amount of heat protection onto the hair. The packaging oozes class and stands out from my other hair products.

Lush - Bubblegum Lip Scrub Review! ♥

Afternoon Sweeties!

Today I have a review of Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub (my boy lollipop) for you. I bought this yesterday, when I went shopping with the bestie :) I never used to be a fan of Lush, but I've been hearing great things about thier products lately so decided to have a pop into thier Middlesbrough store.

The Low Down:

'Clears dead skin and flakiness from lips, leaving them moisturised and smooth. Wonderfully moisturising but light enough not to leave you feeling greasy. Keeps lips in tip top condition, for kissing, pouting, talking or anything else you wish to do with them. Provides a great base for lipstick, which looks much better on smooth prepared lips.'

The Ingredients:

Castor Sugar, Organic Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Methyl lonone, Flavour, Colour 45410, Colour 45380

The Packaging:

The lip scrub comes in a cute little glass tub (25g) and has a hard plastic lid that easily screws off. It looks really pretty and girly :) The labelling is clear and easy to read, which is fantastic.

How to use it:

'Scrub and buff your lips to softness, lick off the excess then apply your favourite Lush Lip Balm.'

The Product:

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub smells and tastes absolutely delicious, like candyfloss! It has a gritty consistency, which is great for exfoliating the lips. Although it is a scrub, it still feels incredibly gentle. I wasn't sure what to expect from this product, as I thought it might feel quite sticky but it doesn't! This scrub left my lips feeling so soft and smooth, and in tip top condition :)

Conclusion:

This super sweet product is fab and I love it! I totally recommend this to anyone that wants lovely lips :) I love the fact that this product is handmade and contains no preservatives. Lush are also fighting animal testing, which is great! My one and only concern is the tub being glass, as I would be gutted if I dropped it and it smashed. As long as you're careful all will be well :) Priced at only £4.95 I think it is a steal, as this will last for ages. I would definately re-purchase this scrub and give it a 9.5/10!!

You should all dash to your nearest Lush to purchase one or shop online here.

GOSH Click 'n' Conceal ♥

Hello Poppets!

Hope you are all well! Today I've got a review of GOSH Click 'n' Conceal. I was lucky to win this product in a giveaway that was run by Aimee at Dream 1n Colour :)

Shade 02 Medium

Before

After

My regular concealer is Touche Eclat, but since recently finishing the tube and not really being able to afford to re-purchase, I have been looking for a new concealer. Like I said above, I was lucky enough to win this one in a giveaway and I couldn't wait to try it. Click 'n' Conceal comes in a black plastic tube - simple, but stylish.  It is very easy to use, all you have to do is press the little button the top of the tube. This concealer is incredibly moisturising and is easily buildable to help eliminate shadows and imperfections. As you can see from the pictures, using click ''n' conceal left me with a clear and even finish. I really like this product and would definately buy it when I have used all of this tube. It is available in three different shades, along with an anti-redness concealer, so it's suitable for most skin-tones I would imagine. At £6.99 I think GOSH are giving us a real bargain here and I would say this product deserves a delightful 8/10!

Fearne Cotton - Night Compact ♥

Hey Sweeties!

Hope you are all good :) Today I have a review of Fearne Cotton's from dusk til dawn eyes Night Compact. I was lucky enough to win this in a giveaway, run by Rachel from Life Of A Sweetaholic and decided to pop a review up.

The Low Down:

'Just the thing to create eye-catching looks whether you’re getting ready for a party or meeting friends for cocktails. Wear these shades alone or build up for intense colour on the eyes and with double ended brushes you can mix and match shades for a look that’s unmistakably yours.'

The Ingredients:

Talc, Zinc stearate, Paraffinum liquidum, Dimethicone, Mathylparaben, Propylparaben, Tocopherol, (+/- Mica, Tin oxide, CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 42090, CI 77510)

The Packaging:

The hard plastic packaging that this product comes in is really sturdy and pretty. It is black and has colourful flowers and little bugs on it. The writing is gold & white and easy to read. The compact is nice & slim, therefore ideal for slipping into your handbag. Also simple to open, which is a major plus.

How to use it:

Wear these shades alone or build up for intense colour on the eyes. With the double ended brush you can mix and match shades.

 The Product:

Fearne's Night Compact includes 3 eye shadows, a double ended brush and a nice sized mirror. Each eye shadow has a little bug on it, which makes them look really cute. The shadows aren't named, but I would describe them as being dark turqoise, gold and bronze. I totally love how shimmery these eyeshadows are (especially the turquoise!!) and how easy they are to blend.

Conclusion:

Celeb-endorsed products tend to catch my eye and this is no exception. I really like this compact - lovely packaging, reasonably priced and the shadows have fab staying power. If you're looking to treat yourself this is perfect, but I wouldn't say it's a must-have. Just something pretty to have alongside your other makeup. I would give this a 7/10 :)

Moroccan Oil Review ♥

Morning Lovelies!

Hope you're all well :) Today I have a review of Moroccan Oil for you. Being honest, over the the last few years I have hammered my hair. It has been dyed every colour you can think of, straightened to death and basically just neglected. A few of months ago I started going to a new hairdresser and she introduced me to Moroccan Oil. She uses it on my hair when I go for my regular cut + blow and I finally decided it was time to invest in a bottle to use at home.

The Low Down:

'A unique ultra-light formula rich in antioxidant argan oil that instantly absorbs into hair to immediately enhance manageability, shine and deliver long term conditioning without leaving residue.'

The Ingredients:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Argania Spinoza Kernel Oil (Aragan Oil), Linseed Extract (Linum Usitatissimum), Fragrance (Supplement), D&C Yellow 11, D&C Red 17, Coumarin, Benzyl Benzoate, Alpha Isomethyl Ionone

The Packaging:

The glass bottle that Moroccan Oil comes in is fairly simple, yet elegant. I love the look of it and feel proud to see it sitting on my bathroom shelf. The product comes with a pump, which makes decanting just the right amount of oil incredibly easy. It also comes with a lid, which is ideal for travelling.

How to use it:

I simply wash my hair as normal and then apply a two of pumps of Moroccan Oil to towel-dryed hair. Once I have blowdried I apply one more pump.

The Product:

Moroccan Oil smells absolutely beautiful and is the perfect consistency for this kind of product. After using this oil, my hair always looks and feels fabulous - so shiny and healthy! I half-expected it to make my hair greasy, but it didn't and instead left me with gorgeous soft and smooth locks, without a hint of frizz in sight! Moroccan Oil has drastically improved the condition of my hair (I believe it is helping it to grow too!) and I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt that this is the best hair product I have ever used.

Conclusion:

Okay so if you hadn't already guessed, I recommend Moroccan Oil 110% and if you haven't already tried it you must!! You can purchase it from the official website by clicking here or at your local salon. At £30 a pop it's not cheap, but it is sooo worth it and will last ages. I love Moroccan Oil - It truly is a wonder product and gets a well-deserved 10/10 from me :)

Dove review!!!

Evening Lovelies!

Hope you are all well :) Tonight I'm going to tell you all about the latest hair product I have tried, which is Dove hair therapy - Conditioner and Treatment.

What it says on the tube

- Nourishing oil care

- Express treatment conditioner, with weightless nutri-oils

- Advanced care and repair for beautiful hair

- Next generation of conditioner, with a golden ribbon of treatment inside

- Instant deep nourishment, smoothes even extra dry and frizzy hair

- 3x the nourishing power of a conditioner

What I did

I followed the instructions on the back of the tube and used this product after shampooing, instead of my regular conditioner. I left it on my hair for one minutes and then rinsed it off.

What I thought

The packaging is a nice and simple, white and gold tube with clear writing and instructions. It is easy to use and I was really impressed with the colour of the conditioner - it comes out in peach and white stripes!! The product smells lovely, as do all of the Dove products I have tried before and it also has a beautiful, creamy consistency.

Now don't get me wrong this is a nice conditioner and is pleasant enough to use, but I wouldn't class it as a 'treatment' and I wouldn't say it was any more nourishing than Dove's other conditioners. I have fairly dry hair and this product left it feeling soft and smooth, but no more so than the rest of thier range.

All in all I do like this product - my favourite thing  about it being the stripey formula :) I am a Dove fan, but I still prefer my Schwarzkopf Gliss Conditioner.

I would rate this product a respectable 7/10

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation! x

Hello My Lovelies!

Today I'm hear to tell you about my latest must-have product!

I recently recieved a couple of sample sachets of Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation through the post and immediately dashed out to purchase a bottle as soon as I'd tried it! This is my current favourite by far.

If you want a radiant glow in an flash, this is the foundation for you. It's light on the skin and blends really well, resulting in an amazing balance between dewy and matte. Classic beige is the perfect warm-toned shade for my skin, such a good match. It's pretty long lasting too! Before applying the foundation I use Natural Collection concealer and Mavalia primer, I set with Avon Colourtrend powder. As with all my foundations, I use my Avon or S Colour foundation brush for a flawless finish. If I'm being lazy I just use my fingers!

The packaging is as fab as the actual product. It's a tall glass bottle, which makes it appear high-end and has a bright orange lid (perfect for spring) The product also has a pump, which makes it incredibly easy to use.

I would say you get fantastic, buildable coverage with this creamy foundation. At the moment I am covered in spots (eek!) and this helps tons to conceal them.

Overall a fantastic foundation! 9.5/10 ♥

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is currently available to purchase at Boots for only £5.99.

Lemon Zest Peel Off! x

Afternoon Cuties!

My skin has been dreadful lately, so I decided a little tlc was in order. I love Montagne Jeunesse face masks, but have never tried this particular one before.

As you can see the packaging is very pretty, I love how bright and exotic it looks :) It's very easy to open and the mask is a yellowy coloured gel. The mask smells pleasant and is not too over-whelming.

I cleansed my skin and then applied the mask. Although it feels sticky on the fingers, it doesn't on the face. It was a smooth application and glided onto my skin.

I left it on for about 20 minutes, while I relaxed. After 5 or 10 minutes I could feel the mask start to tighten, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Once the mask was dry I peeled it from my skin and washed off the excess with warm water. My skin felt so smooth and is much softer than it was before i used the mask.

I would definately use this product again.

8/10

Do you like the Montagne Jeunesse range and if so which is your favourite?

Lumiere Cosmetics Review! x

Hello my lovelies!

I'm here today to alert you to a fab company called Lumiere Cosmetics. They recently sent me some samples of their cosmetics to review and I was rather excited as I had never tried mineral makeup before. When the samples arrived I was totally impressed with how they were packaged (in hard plastic) so securely and I thought the little tubs were cute too :)

I recieved 7 test pots - 3 eye pigments, 2 foundations and 2 blushes.

Left to right: Khaki, Peppermint Patti, Creme Brulee

As you can see all of the eye pigments are incredibly pretty, but my favourite would have to be Creme Brulee. This pigment is perfect for everyday wear - It's very natural, but with a hint of glam! I would wear the other two colours on nights out. The eye pigments are perfect for building and blending colour and are all easy to apply, which is great because I am a total novice when it comes to loose powders.

Left to right: Cherry Blossom, Mauvelous

I preferred Mauvelous to Cherry blossom as I like my blushes quite pink, but I think Cherry Blossom would look amazing with a tan as it is really shimmery. I blended these shades with my usual pressed powder and a little went a long way. Both gave a nice natural-looking glow to my cheeks.

Left to right: Light Medium Cashmere, Light Medium Luminesse
*These are no where near as light in real life, they just would not take a decent pic :/

The luminesse is much more my colour, but i guess the cashmere would work on paler skin. Personally I don't feel I get enough coverage from a powder alone, so I think I shall be sticking to liquid foundation.

Overall I loved most of these products, I would definately use the eye pigments again :) If you like mineral makeup, loose powders and gorgeous pigments you should certainly head over to Lumiere and check out what they have to offer ♥

Do you use mineral makeup and do you like it? :)

* All opinions are mine and 110% honest

Montagne Jeunesse Review!

Hello my darlings!

I absolutely love Montagne Jeunesse face masks and I got a few in my christmas stocking,  some of which I have never tried before. I decided to use one tonight and pop a review up, as my skin has been awful lately and is in desperate need of a little tlc.

Green Tea Peel Off

What they say - Re-energise your skin with natural minerals, uplifting green tea, healing root ginger and reviving properties of squeezed lemon, to reveal a deep cleansed, toned and radiant complexion. Detox with this treat weekly.

What I say - The packaging looks very tropical and makes me think of summer :) It is a handy squeezy packet, which is easy to open. As I opened it I noticed it's not as fragrant as the other masks from this range, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes masks that smell too strongly give me a bit of a headache. I expected the mask to be green, as that is the colour of the mask on the packaging but it was actually clear. I cleansed, then applied the product and left it on for the recommended time. As it dried I could feel it tightening on my skin and after 20 minutes I removed it. The mask was incredibly easy to peel off - much less messy than removing a mud mask! I splashed some warm water on my face to remove any remaining mask, there wasn't much excess at all. This mask left my skin feeling nice and refreshed, with that lovely clean feeling. I feel like this product has detoxed and cleansed my pores. I would definately use it again. These masks are so cheap you can afford to use one every week!

Rate - 4/5

Do you like Montagne Jeunesse masks & which is your fave from the range?

Me To You Review! x

Evening my lovelies! ♥

<><><>
I got some lovely me to you products in a gift set for christmas from my parents. I'm not quite sure how much they cost as they were a present but I think they were from new look.

The packaging is incredibly pretty as you can see, perfect for a girlie girl like me. All of the products have the same sweet fragrance and are absolutely beautiful.

It's that time of the month for me and all I wanted was to light some candles and have a nice bubble bath to cheer myself up, before I got into my pjs and snuggled up on the sofa with a hot water bottle. This smellies set was just the thing to try out today ♥

I used the crystals and foam in the bath, I'm not too sure what the crystals did other than smell nice, but the foam was fun and created lots of bubbles. Fantastic for a relaxing soak :)

The shower gel was ideal to use on the scrunchie to wash my body. It has left my skin feeling refreshed and smelling gorgeous.

The body lotion could have been a little thicker as it was quite milky, but it smelled wonderful and left my skin feeling silky soft and smooth.

I was a bit disappointed that the soap was plain, I kinda expected it to be teddy bear - shaped or atleast have a bear print on it but it didn't. I don't use soap on my body, so I tried this on my hands. It was nice and creamy when I lathered it on, so I was rather impressed, as its much better than most other soaps I have used.

The scent of each product penetrated my skin really well and my skin still smells great hours later which is fab :)

My candle-lit bubble bath was an indulgent treat and has made me feel heaps better. I enjoyed trying out this set and would definately recommend it as a gift.

8.5/10

Thanks for reading!

Advent Calender/Klorane Review/Beauty Challenge!

Hello my darlings! All well i hope :) I've had a pretty good weekend so far, been flat sitting with my fiance ♥ Only 5 days left till my birthday too! :) Thanks to everyone who has voted in my poll so far, if you haven't you can find it on the left hand side of my blog and if you haven't already entered my giveaway check it out here! Looking forward to the #bbloggers chat on twitter tonight, see you all there ;)

Anyways it's the 4th, so you know what that means ...

Another day in advent calender land!

And it is ... a pink hairband/scrunchie!

hehe i like :)

Now on to my completely unrelated review :p

Klorane are a plant-based hair care brand. They sent me a couple of samples to try out, so i decided to review them. Thier website tells you all about the history of the company and what thier mission is etc, so check it out here if you're interested.

Chamomile Shampoo & Conditioner

The shampoo came in a cute little bottle and i didn't even need to use half of it, so the company sent me a very fair amount. The shampoo smells very strongly of chamomile, but it's not unpleasant. It had a similar consistancy to johnson's baby shampoo and was okay to use. Just a bog-standard shampoo really.
Rate - 5/10

According to klorane the conditioner is supposed to be great for damaged hair, but i have damaged hair and i can honestly say this is the worst conditioner i have ever tried. The conditioner was way too thick (more like a hair mask) and the only difference it made to my hair was it made it feel dry and left it in a tangled mess.
Rate - 1/10

Maybe if i had blonde hair these would have worked better for me, but i don't and i'm not impressed by these products.

30 Day Beauty Challenge
Day 2 - Favourite bag that you own

Thanks for reading, hope you enjoyed!
