10lb weight loss in 6 days!!!

Hello Darlings!

Hope you are all good :) As you may remember I am currently trying to lose weight. A few weeks ago I did the 3 day diet to help kick start my weight loss and managed to lose 5lbs. Well, between the end of that diet and last week I managed to lose a further 2lbs through plain and simple healthy eating. Today I'm going to tell you about a diet I began last thursday. It goes by the name of The 7 day Sacred Heart Diet and I do not recommend it at all!! I had never done this diet before, so I had no idea what it was going to be like. It didn't sound to bad to be honest, but it was.
I was hungry and tired constantly, but it wasn't until last night (day 6) that enough was enough. I literally could not move from the toilet (I know too much information!) My stomach swelled up and was making the most strange noises I have ever heard in my life, I was vomiting too. This is when I decided this diet is so not worth it. I was awake and in agony for the entire night. There was absolutely no way I was going to continue with it, I just wanted to get weighed and throw some decent food down my neck!
The 7 day Sacred Heart Diet

The principle of this diet is to fill up on a very low calorie soup, which can be consumed in as large a quantity as is needed. Other foods are off limits, except for the foods prescribed for each day, as are alcoholic drinks. The diet lasts for 7 days, after which time dieters are supposed to have lost at least 10 pounds, as well as feeling cleansed and rejuvenated.

I'm not going to post the recipe of the soup etc but if you would like to see it click here. Like I said I do not recommend this diet, but here's what I had to eat each day, along with the soup ...

Day One - As much fruit as you want, except bananas.
Day Two -  As much veg as you want and a large baked potato with butter.
Day Three - As much fruit and veg as you want.
Day Four - At least 3 bananas and as much skimmed milk as you want.
Day Five - 10 to 20 oz beef, cooked in any way except fried and one tin of tomatoes.
Day Six -  As much beef and veg as you want.
Day Seven - As much brown rice and veg as you want.

Anyway, I got weighed after my 6th day and I had lost 10lbs! Amazing obviously, but not worth making myself ill over. I will never ever do this diet ever again, but I can't promise I won't have a go of other fad diets. The super-fast weight loss is just sooo tempting. For now though I am enjoying being reunited with my best friend mr carb!

How much do you spend on makeup monthly?

Hello Sweethearts!

Hope you're all well :) As you may know alot of people have been asking me questions and like I said previously, I will be answering them via blog posts. Today I will be answering a question put to me by Anibani.

How much do you spend on makeup monthly?

Well to be honest this often varies quite dramatically. Lately I have been trying to spend alot less, as I am literally overrun with makeup (especially lipgloss!) I am going to do a full post on my makeup collection in the near future (complete with pictures ofcourse!), so I won't go into detail but basically I could open my own branch of Boots. Having said that, I can't resist the odd new bit so at the moment I would say I am spending around £30 per month. Obviously that changes If I'm on abit of a shopping spree, as all rational thoughts go out of the window and I usually end up spending more on makeup than clothes, shoes etc. I think I have a problemSometimes I go crazy and buy myself a high-end product which costs a small fortune, or sometimes I spend the same on a cheaper brand and get like 10 items for the same price! Before I started limiting my makeup buys I was spending £60 per month atleast, but I don't actually think my outgoings for cosmetics are that bad, considering I am a total makeup whore! What do you think?

Picture from We Heart It

How much money do you spend on makeup each month?

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation! x

Hello My Lovelies!

Today I'm hear to tell you about my latest must-have product!

I recently recieved a couple of sample sachets of Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation through the post and immediately dashed out to purchase a bottle as soon as I'd tried it! This is my current favourite by far.

If you want a radiant glow in an flash, this is the foundation for you. It's light on the skin and blends really well, resulting in an amazing balance between dewy and matte. Classic beige is the perfect warm-toned shade for my skin, such a good match. It's pretty long lasting too! Before applying the foundation I use Natural Collection concealer and Mavalia primer, I set with Avon Colourtrend powder. As with all my foundations, I use my Avon or S Colour foundation brush for a flawless finish. If I'm being lazy I just use my fingers!

The packaging is as fab as the actual product. It's a tall glass bottle, which makes it appear high-end and has a bright orange lid (perfect for spring) The product also has a pump, which makes it incredibly easy to use.

I would say you get fantastic, buildable coverage with this creamy foundation. At the moment I am covered in spots (eek!) and this helps tons to conceal them.

Overall a fantastic foundation! 9.5/10 ♥

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation is currently available to purchase at Boots for only £5.99.

What has been your most outrageous makeup look?

Afternoon Cupcakes!

Hope you're all good :) On my giveaway post alot of people have been asking me questions and requesting posts, so I've decided to make a start on giving my followers what they want. Today I shall be answering a question put to me by Aimee from Dream 1n Colour

What has been your most outrageous makeup look?

Well, I get bored really easily with my makeup and how I wear it. Lately is probably the most natural it has ever been. As a teenager I went through the gothic phase and used to take tips from Marilyn Manson haha, nowadays I just stick with his music! Aged 14 I would cake on the black lipstick and eyeliner, I thought I looked great -.- Really I just looked like a moron. Don't get me wrong some people suit that look, but me? Only on halloween. I always look better with abit of colour in my cheeks and back then I used to chalk my face up with talc! 10 years later I much prefer to experiment more subtly, such as a pink lippy instead of nude if I'm in the mood for a change. Unfortunately (or maybe not lol) I don't have any pictures of me with my corpse-inspired makeup on because this was before the days of camera phones. We only got disposable cameras for special occasions and this look must have fallen inbetween any photo taking opportunities (thank god!)

Picture from we heart it ♥

What crazy makeup looks have you tried out?

If you would like to know more about me ask away :)
I will answer any questions in a post and obviously mention you and your blog

Interview with Rachel! x

Afternoon sweeties!

Today I would like to introduce you all to the lovely Rachel from Life Of A Sweetaholic :) Her blog is fab, one of my absolute faves!

Questions

1. When and why did you first start blogging?
I first started blogging in February 2011, so my blog has just turned one and I cannot believe that I am still blogging a year later, but it feels incredible. I first set Life of a Sweetaholic up as I had seen quite a lot of my Facebook friends setting theirs up and I loved the fact that they had a platform to speak about what they wanted and that people would read/comment about the topics too. It was in fact Emma-Louise who blogs over at From Fallenangel to YummyMummy (http://fallenangel-yummymummy.blogspot.com) who inspired me to first start my blog.

2. What do you like most about blogging?
Without a doubt it has got to be all of my lovely followers and readers, if I didn’t have them I don’t think that I would still be blogging right now to be honest. A year later I still find it overwhelming that people from all over the world visit my blog and leave comments, it is such a lovely feeling. I have also made and met 2 very special friends thanks to blogging and I cannot wait to meet more of them.

3. Is there anything you dislike about blogging?
The only thing that I can think of at the moment has got to be if there are any negative comments either on my blog or a friends, as I generally find that the blogging community is so friendly and we are all in this together – so there is no need for the negativity.

4. What do you think of my blog?
Your blog is one of my favourites and is listed under my favourite reads (if you didn’t know this?). I like the fact that you don’t concentrate on one specific topic as I find those types of blogs boring and that it feels as though I actually know you from the posts you write.

5. Who/what inspires your blog?
Well when I first started Life of a Sweetaholic it was Emma-Louise who blogs over at From Fallenangel to YummyMummy (http://fallenangel-yummymummy.blogspot.com/) who inspired me to first start my blog. But generally my inspiration now comes from anything and everything that happens in my life. I blog about who I am, what I do and what I love – I have a real passion for nails so this is something that is quite a regular feature on my blog, as well as the food related posts, OOTD and much more.

6. What do you use to take pictures for your blog?
Most of the time I will use my Samsung digital camera (I can’t tell you the exact model/make at the moment as I haven’t got it on me), other than that I will use my HTC Wildfire S when I am out and about if something catches my eye that is worth a snap.

7. Do you or would you work with pr companies?
At the moment I only work with one PR Company, I do this as I feel that their products are relevant to my blog and they are items that I am interested in, I would never want to work with a PR company or business that isn’t aimed at my readers and most importantly if I don’t have an interest in them/their products.

8. Do you or intend to hold giveaways on your blog?
When I first started blogging I used to hold quite a lot of giveaways on my blog, but then I stopped as I then knew who my loyal followers and readers were. Now I hold giveaways for special occasions or if I am just feeling really nice to all of my readers and followers.

Lemon Zest Peel Off! x

Afternoon Cuties!

My skin has been dreadful lately, so I decided a little tlc was in order. I love Montagne Jeunesse face masks, but have never tried this particular one before.

As you can see the packaging is very pretty, I love how bright and exotic it looks :) It's very easy to open and the mask is a yellowy coloured gel. The mask smells pleasant and is not too over-whelming.

I cleansed my skin and then applied the mask. Although it feels sticky on the fingers, it doesn't on the face. It was a smooth application and glided onto my skin.

I left it on for about 20 minutes, while I relaxed. After 5 or 10 minutes I could feel the mask start to tighten, but it wasn't uncomfortable.

Once the mask was dry I peeled it from my skin and washed off the excess with warm water. My skin felt so smooth and is much softer than it was before i used the mask.

I would definately use this product again.

8/10

Do you like the Montagne Jeunesse range and if so which is your favourite?

Can I tell you a secret? x

Hello my darlings!

Hope you're all having a fab weekend so far :) Mine has been quiet, but good. I've just been chilling out and spending time with my fiance ♥ Also started reading again and just finished a great book by Evelyn Cosgrave called Can I tell you a secret? It's a really girlie book, which I love. Weird considering I'm not a big fan of girlie movies ...

One hot summer three very different sisters, each with something to hide, descend on their granny. Susan has just broken up with her fiance, but she isn't exactly telling the full story. Felicity - elegant and successful, usually spends her brief holidays on top of a mountain or shopping on Fifth Avenue, so how come she's spending so long just chilling out? And carefree Marianne perennially on the run from boyfriends and jobs, what kind of a mess has she got herself into this time? Add to the mix an intriguing long-lost cousin and Angela, their long-suffering granny. Something has to give and when it does the girls' lives will be transformed for ever.

Do you enjoy reading, If so what are your favourite books?

Hey girlies!

Hope you are all well :) I got weighed yesterday, after I finished the 3 day diet and I have lost 5lbs!!! Absolutely buzzing :) Didn't lose as much as the last time I did it, but hey it's still a step in the right direction. Anyways Just thought I would pop a little NOTD :) Still haven't got a phone/camera and I'm currently using my fiance's, so please blame him for the poor picture quality.

Hope you all have a fab weekend :)
